At the Trussell Trust, we believe everyone should be free from hunger. With over 1,400 local food banks across the UK, we provide practical support to those in need. It’s unacceptable that anyone requires a food bank. We work with communities to address the root causes of poverty, ensuring everyone has enough income for essentials. Supported by nearly 12,000 churches, community groups, businesses, schools, and over 30,000 volunteers, we unite to campaign for a just future. Our research from food banks across the UK provides insights into food insecurity, helping us advocate for solutions.

One in seven people in the UK faces hunger, with £19 billion in unclaimed social security benefits. Our Financial Inclusion program supported by the Citi grant helps individuals navigate complex support systems, providing essential advice. The Citi Foundation’s grant will enhance this program, funding our Financial Inclusion Team and an evaluation to improve services for low-income communities.
