Providing training on modern farming techniques and assistance with developing and growing agricultural businesses to low-income farmers in the rural Philippines.

Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF) is a microfinance institution dedicated to helping underprivileged men and women rise out of poverty through financial and non-financial services.The Balik Panguma Initiative, launched in late 2023, aims to achieve food security for Dungganon clients, targeting the poorest urban, coastal, and upland communities. This program provides environmental awareness, agricultural technologies, and best practices to empower agri-business clients and their families.

Over the past six months, NWTF has gained valuable insights into the Philippine agricultural industry, identifying numerous interested institutions and organizations. This initiative revealed various considerations and gaps in the agri-industry, prompting ongoing redesigns to meet the needs of Dungganon farmers and consumers.Balik Panguma is part of NWTF’s broader efforts for food security, complementing projects like the Micro-Agri project (2014) and Community Loan (2017). NWTF aims to create a comprehensive food security strategy for the Philippines.
