The Doe Fund’s proven Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program provides 9-12 months of paid work experience, education, workforce training, and social services to prepare individuals in transitional housing for careers and stable housing. With a catalytic grant from Citi Foundation, we will offer RWA programming to all formerly homeless New Yorkers living in our permanent housing portfolio who are interested in and able to work, nearly doubling our impact and providing the opportunity to earn income, build savings, and reduce their chances for future homelessness. We will also future-proof RWA graduates’ careers through robust graduate services, helping to keep people housed, breaking cycles of homelessness.
