The project supports vulnerable households with a phased approach of cash assistance, skills development and support services to break poverty cycles and ensure housing security in Lebanon.
PUI presents a multifaceted approach to addressing housing insecurity and homelessness in Beirut Mount Lebanon specifically Bourj Hammoud and Nabaa, by offering Cash for Shelter (CfS) for 40 homeless households (HH) and Cash for Rent (CfR) for 110 households alongside individual support, skills development, linkages to economic opportunities and service provision. CfS offers immediate financial relief and facilitates access to shelter. CfR provides up to 9 months of rent coverage mitigating eviction threats and fostering stability. Shelter activities will be complemented by employability skills development and referral services. Households at risk of eviction and homeless individuals will be targeted.
