This program combines homelessness prevention for Ukrainian refugees with comprehensive support services (hotline, streetworkers, therapy, targetet groups) to facilitate their long-term stay in Poland
As the war in Ukraine becomes protracted, refugees with increasing levels of vulnerability continue to arrive in Poland. Destruction of personal assets due to war, psychological trauma and lack of income puts them at an increased risk of homelessness, particularly immediately after arrival in Poland. The project aims at preventing and responding to refugees’ homelessness (both Ukrainian and other nationalities) by integrating four critical components:- Streetworkers’ outreach: - Targeted support: Providing specialized counseling to groups at heightened risk of homelessness,- Mental health support: Offering access to Ukrainian-speaking psychologists and psychiatrists.- NGO resources: Empowering NGOs with the necessary resources to effectively support Ukrainian refugees.
