JoodVILLAGES for the Rehousing of disaster victims and the rehabilitation of the Al Haouz region in Morocco.
Our emergency shelter program provides strong and secure shelter and sanitation units to 167 families, strengthens infrastructure and improves a sustainable economy through septic tank installation, electrification and water connection in the disaster areas of the Al Haouz disaster region in Morocco. Its operating process is designed to respond to the constraint of inaccessible roads to targeted villages, by setting up manufacturing workshops which guarantee a paid work opportunity for young people in the region. The materials used in manufacturing are guaranteed for 10 years, so that these accommodations can be transformed into tourist lodges, school classes or health clinics, serving the inhabitants of the village, after the reconstruction of their collapsed houses.
