FoodCloud is a tech-based, non-profit social enterprise in Ireland, dedicated to eliminating food waste and food insecurity to combat climate breakdown and poverty. By redistributing surplus food, FoodCloud empowers communities and reduces environmental impact. Since 2013, FoodCloud has redistributed 278.1 million meals (116,808 tonnes of surplus food) to over 10,000 charities globally, preventing 366,720 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Supported by the Citi Foundation, FoodCloud developed the Foodiverse app, which connects retail and restaurant surplus food to local community groups. Launched in 2013, Foodiverse is now used by all major Irish food retailers and NGOs in the UK, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Kenya, and Indonesia. A significant milestone for FoodCloud is redistributing over 260 million meals since 2013, with half achieved since 2020, reflecting their growth and innovation in maximizing food distribution and minimizing waste.
