Home&Beyond: Breaking the Cycle of Poverty and Homelessness in Milan through an integrated stable housing and support services system for the economic and social well-being of low-income households.
The program aims to alleviate the impact of poverty, homelessness, and social exclusion guaranteeing an efficient and integrated Social Housing system in Milan. 280 individuals and family members, experiencing homelessness or at risk of facing homelessness, both Italians and migrants, will access to stable and affordable housing in 42 apartments made available by partner organizations. Additional support services, based on specific individual needs, will enhance the process of housing autonomy and social-economic inclusion. The program experiments an innovative approach with a multidisciplinary team, leveraging the expertise of leading organizations in homeless issues and ensuring a comprehensive system, including coordination with public entities, that aims to become a scalable model.
