Expanding its loan, grant and technical assistance offerings to diverse and low-income food entrepreneurs that contribute to sustainable agriculture, distribute food to underserved areas and promote organic, culturally rooted farming practices in California.
Established in 2008, Feed The Hunger Fund (FTHF) aims to eliminate hunger and poverty by focusing on food security and sustainability. As a CDFI, FTHF provides financial and business coaching to thousands of BIPOC, immigrant, women, and low-income food entrepreneurs, offering loans and grants to their food enterprises. This program gives small-scale food enterprises access to capital and business skills, enabling farmers to increase their healthy food yields for local low-income communities at affordable rates. Additionally, some farmers supply their fresh produce to other small food entrepreneurs operating food trucks, cafes, and restaurants in rural and urban low-income areas.
