To assess the viability, relevance and impact of developing an Inclusive Cohousing model as a novel alternative in the search for housing solutions for homeless people.
Our goal is to assess the feasibility, relevance and impact of developing an Inclusive Cohousing model as a housing alternative for homeless people. The program is aimed at homeless people with a minimum but stable income, sufficient to assume the shared costs of affordable rented housing. We will carry out research using data from the Homeless Survey 2022 to explore the housing conditions of homeless people detected in Spain and the stability and level of their monthly income. We will elaborate a Methodological Guide that will systemize the phases of the process and the models, methodologies and tools applicable to Inclusive Cohousing. Based on this information, we will initiate pilot projects of Inclusive Cohousing with homeless people in three Autonomous Communities of Spain.
